Naxos gets voted friendliest island in the Cyclades because of people like the woman below who invited me to her house for a shot of raki after I took her photograph.
Since it was only 8:30 in the morning, 90°F/32°C, and I hadn’t eaten… I accepted, bien sur.
On my way to see the Kouros (big fallen statue), a man named Stefanos called me over to look at his garden and then proceeded to feed me every ripe fruit and vegetable from his garden: strawberries, apricots, cucumbers, and peaches. What kind of country is this Greece place, to gift me with the elixir of Dyonisis and the harvest of Demeter before 10:00 in the morning? And why must I leave it?
And how about this happy guy:
Older Greeks put on really stern faces, but don’t let that fool you…they’re really friendly.

I want the Raki lady and happy Greek man to be my Baba & Deda. I simply love Greeks!! Are your friends/friend meeting up with you in Greece?
Two more days and the LV days are over – I will see you soon!
This aren’t Greek faces, this is pure Macedonians
Hi there…I think there is a blending of facial features in the Balkans. I grew up with Macedonians and some of them had black hair and dark eyes, others had blond hair and green eyes, so nothing looks typically Macedonian to me.
