In D.C. and Travel Plans

I’ve been staying busy with classes at the Smithsonian and wandering around DC with my camera.

My summer trip plans so far have me leaving the first week of June and escorting my parents to Bosnia, where I was born. I’m really excited about this part of the trip because I have so many relatives there [...]

DC Cherry Blossom Festival

For most of the year, DC is either too hot or too cold with unbearable humidity, but nature gives us a reprieve in April and October.  It’s cliche, but the two weeks of the Cherry Blossom Festival really are the best time to visit.

Santarchy

Santarchy is like a Christmas-themed Halloween.

This past Saturday hundreds of Washingtonians met up on the national mall dressed up as Santas, elves, abominable snowman, and ice queens, with the goal of running around town giving gifts, singing songs, riding merry-go-rounds, and deciding who’s naughty or nice.

Who could resist?
