… that’s what I’ve been doing, but today the sun came out, coats came off, and a purple crocus peeked out from under a budding azalea bush. Could this be the start of spring? Please, please let it be so.
After the winter we’ve had in DC, I’ve decided that, in fact, I don’t want to participate in winters any longer. I don’t want to hibernate like a big ole curmudgeonly brown bear. I don’t want to break my butt slipping on ice patches. I don’t want my skin to get so pale it glows in the dark. I want to live in perpetual spring and summer.
I must devise a plan to bring this to fruition…

My daughter and I went walking in the park a few days ago. It was a gorgeous 71-degree day. I said to her that if I could create my own world it would be in the 70s everyday, except for a few weeks of Fall weather.
I too am ready for the cold weather to be gone for good. I’ve never liked winter.
Yeah, Niki — I think the entire eastern seaboard is ready for a beautiful spring.
Hey, I got a great idea…Ever think of California?!
